All participants will receive a t-shirt and a medal. The first 5 to complete the Marathon will also win a prize money of up to 10,000THB!
Marathon Koh Phangan: A challenge for trained runners?
It’s the first time that the Full Moon Marathon will start in Haad Rin so it will lead over the very high and steep mountains between Hatrin and Ban Tai. The run will definitely be a challenge compared to Marathons on flat roads.
The start times are yet to be confirmed but the fun run will likely start in late afternoon or early evening, the quarter run around 10pm and the Marathon at Midnight.
Activities on Koh Phangan
The Full Moon Marathon is another interesting activity on Phangan. While many people still connect the island mainly with party and nightlife activities, there are in fact other things to do and the government is working hard to bring exciting yearly events like this marathon or the Kiteboarding competition to Koh Phangan.
