Thailand is the most popular destination in Asia for overseas property buyers and foreign investors. Additionally there was a significant rise in interest seen in July.
TheMoveChannel.com, a leading overseas property website, publishes the “Top of the Props” every month. Thailand is ranked as the 13th most popular country, which is a rise of sixe places compared to June.
The credit crunch and political instability in Thailand between 2008 and 2012 had the effect that property investors returned to more familiar markets but now many overseas property buyers are looking for investment opportunities in Thailand again. A stable political and economic situation and the role Thailand plays as a tourist destination are the main factors that make properties in the country in Southeast Asia interesting for investors.
Overseas property buyers are especially looking for land in the Gulf of Siam although other areas like Pattaya and Phuket are also still on the radar of many foreign investors.
